Speculative Futures, Biometrics and Firmware were part of the exhibition 0101 (El Giro Bit) at Boulevard Gallery, curated by Marianela Baladán.
During the exhibition, Joaquín Fargas held a talk with the visitors, touring his installations and reflecting on the concepts behind each piece. The visit concluded with a robotic meditation in the “Speculative Futures” installation.
Is DNA our basic program, our firmware that allows us to function?
We are individual beings. DNA makes us unique, and this is expressed in our biometric data that identifies us, such as the iris, fingerprints, voice, or heartbeat.
