The Earth’s Pulse at Fabrikraum

The Earth’s Pulse is an interactive live performance by Joaquín Fargas that combines art, science, technology and society that took place at the Kultur und Kunstverein Fabrikraum.

Is the Earth alive?

Our planet is 4.5 billion years old—an unimaginable span for our minds, far surpassing the scale by which we measure our personal time. Even the existence of humans as a species on Earth is negligible in the vastness of the Universe.

Our own evolution has been moving us away from contact with nature, of which we are part. Our ancestors and even today, many native peoples have a greater awareness of respect for the Earth.

The aim of the project is to make us aware that the Earth is a living entity and that today it expresses itself with all its vitality and rage.

The project is an interactive performance composed by the performer, video mapping in real time, live coding music and the participation of the public.
